GrandMA3 Compact XT Console

The grandMA3 compact XT is compatible with grandMA2 and grandMA3 software. The compact XT console features 2 huge multi-touchmonitors, 5 dual encoders and a complete command area almost identical to the larger models. With 60 physical playbacks, 16 assignablex-keys and a dedicated master area the grandMA3 compact XT console provides plenty of playback options.

The grandMA3 compact XT console includes 8192 control parameters as standard, making it an ideal choice for medium sized professional entertainment lighting applications. The system size is scalable to 250 000 parameters with the use of additional grandMA3 processing units.

grandMA3 vis-key

Real-world Parameters: 512 parameters can be output via DMX over Ethernet

grandMA3 viz-key is the unique solution for a stable and safe connectivity between third-party visualization tools and grandMA3 lighting control systems. Simply connect the grandMA3 viz-key with the visualization computer and it will enable all necessary parameters for visualization.

By definition all involved third-party manufacturers are MA-Net3 members on the network and can visualize all granted parameters instantly. The grandMA3 viz-key enables also all non-granted parameters for visualization.

Each visualization station needs a dedicated grandMA3 viz-key and works for all third-party visualizers. One grandMA3 viz-key knows about all third-party visualizers - no need for a specific dongle per manufacturer – one solution fits it all. Additionally, the grandMA3 viz-key comes with 512 parameters onboard. This allows for simple fixture tests in the real world if no other parameters are available. Only in a grandMA3 onPC solutions environment, 512 parameters will be added to the existing parameter count. Even adding multiple grandMA3 viz-keys in one system will only add a total of 512 parameters, the maximum parameter count within the grandMA3 onPC solutions range remains 4 096. The 512 parameters can be output via DMX over Ethernet.

The grandMA3 viz-key runs independent of internet connectivity for up to 10 days before a validation update is needed. All third-party visualizers and further information about the grandMA3 viz-key can be found below.


Here you will find the most current information on which third-party visualizers and which software versions of those products will be compatible with the grandMA3 viz-key. Each visualizer software version is tested and verified before it will be activated to communicate with the grandMA3 viz-key and then released on the corresponding visualizer´s website. Rosendahl - MIF4

Digital audio workstations as well as lighting and show control software make use of MTC midi timecode for synchronisation. The mif4 provides professional interfacing to standard LTC (SMPTE) timecode. Rosendahl sync algorithms suppress timecode jitter and drop outs.

SOURCE = LTC read LTC (SMPTE) timecode, display and convert into MTC/USB midi time code and regenerate LTC (SMPTE) timecode.

SOURCE = MIDI read MTC from MIDI input, display and convert into LTC (SMPTE) and regenerate MTC/USB midi timecode.

SOURCE = USB read MTC from USB, display and convert into LTC (SMPTE) and regenerate MTC/USB midi timecode.

SOURCE = GEN the timecode generator can be set up and started manually or remote controlled by MMC midi machine control comands. FPS timecode standards are automatically detected and displayed by the four FPS LEDs (24, 25, 30 Frames Per Second, DF is SMPTE Drop Frame standard).

DISPLAY = TC shows timecode in hours, minutes, seconds and frames.

DISPLAY = UB SMPTE user bits, 8 nibbles shown hexadecimal.

DISPLAY = CAL informs about timecode speed. 29.97 non drop timecode for example is indicated by 30 FPS LED and calibration 0.9990.

DISPLAY = REF PAL or NTSC video syncs (576i, 480i) as well as HD tri-level syncs (720p, 1080i, 1080p) are automatically detected and displayed along with their frame rate.
